This building is located right next to the Rietveld Academy of art in Amsterdam South. It has been designed as a flexible layout and energy-efficient office. We have provided the interior of this building for Loyens & Loeff.
After the start of the construction, we were engaged as interior architect in response to our interior suggestions that matched a number of essential tenant requirements. In consultation with the architect of the building, we have implemented a number of structural changes: the movement of the walkways by disconnecting the stairs and corridors from the atrium, the complete acquisition of the copper atrium and a better location of the goods at and drainage, making it easily accessible and out of sight.
In the spacious and dynamic atrium in the heart of the building there are special representative functions such as the restaurant, meeting rooms and waiting rooms. We have used many natural materials in combination with warm colors. With this building we have won the MIPIM award 2002 together with Atelier Pro Architecten. This is a prize for best international office building.
