INTERNATIONAL ALLURE
The distinctive office of KPMG in Amstelveen houses the headquarters of both the global and the Dutch organization. It is therefore important to give the new KPMG head office in Amstelveen an international allure that can serve as a precursor for the rest of the offices in the Netherlands. In this way a synergy is created so that the buildings of KPMG will always be recognizable. However, with its own identity.
ORIENTATION & TRANSPARENCY
Because the building is located on the A9 national road, extra attention has been given to the orientation of the building, the noise and wind aspects and to the urban design principles. Sight lines from the highway have been reflected in the design so that you can look through to the inner garden. Due to the difference in material between the outer facade and the inner garden façade, the difference between the inner and outer façades is further enhanced. The transparency of the facade image makes it possible to look into the building.
